Mesmerizing Sunsets
The sunsets at Sitio Remedios are always special. Sometimes, the skies give us bright orange hues and on other days, we see a display of pinks and purples. ©Kath D. Lagustan
Art Gallery
Located near Plaza San Miguel, Sitio Remedios’ Art Gallery is home to a number of collections and while prized pieces adorn its walls, its most precious collection is that of Sitio Palayupoy, the village’s former incarnation.
The Art Gallery is also home to photos of the many sunsets seen at Sitio Remedios for the past few years. The newest collection is a series of photos of the Pinto Underwater Sculpture Museum for Marine Ecosystem Regeneration. The museum is located a few minutes away from the heritage village.
Art lovers can also purchase paintings and other works from the gallery. ©Filipo Faccendini
Pawikan Hatchery
Sitio Remedios champions the environment. One of its year-round responsibilities, is maintaining a sea turtle hatchery right on its premises. And when it is time for them to go back to the ocean, they are led to the shore by the staff. ©Belle Co

Sitio Remedios is pure elegance.Asian culture and their architecture fascinate me that’s why I chose to stay here while in the Philippines. This village gave me among the best immersive experiences I have ever had. The villas are well-maintained and if the walls could speak, I can only imagine what stories they will tell.

You must experience this resort at least once in your lifetime! The rooms are housed in historical, reconstructed Spanish era “balays” (houses) which reminds you of our old ancestral houses. Walking inside the sitio (village) you will find yourself transported to ancient Filipino-Spanish era plazas.

Sitio Remedios should definitely be on your bucket list for experiences in the Philippines. I’ve been to Boracay and Palawan — but this stay was unique (and everything you want in a trip to Ilocos!) I loved soaking in the beauty of the traditional Spanish-colonial homes, while still being extremely comfortable in their clean rooms. The food was consistently good. Staff incredibly friendly.
